Design for frequent use
Business software is used repeatedly under time pressure. Success is measured by how easily people complete recurring tasks, recover from mistakes, and understand what happens next. Visual polish supports those goals but cannot replace them.
Make status visible
Users should know what is pending, submitted, approved, rejected, or completed. Explicit status labels, sensible permissions, and clear activity histories reduce uncertainty and prevent duplicated work.
Support the exceptions
Empty states, slow connections, missing permissions, and partially completed work are part of real life. Designing them early creates a product that feels dependable, not just attractive in a presentation.
